PLUS ONE MOMENTS
LTC – Tina: We mailed a patient's medications to her on a Friday, but she left for her daughter’s before the medications arrived. On late Tuesday, we received a call from the patient saying she was completely out of medication and she was in LaGrange. Tina located an independent pharmacy close to the area and spoke with the pharmacist about the issue. They were able to fill one dose of the patient's evening and morning medications, and then we overnighted the medications to the patient at her daughter’s address. The patient was very thankful that we went above and beyond to help.
EMPLOYEE MOMENTS
We've been very busy interviewing and hiring new team members for Chancy Drugs. We're only hiring the best of the best, and we're excited about these new team members: Clayton, Delivery Driver; Alexis, Pharmacy Tech in Moultrie; Samantha, Pharmacy Tech/Solutions Center; and Jennifer, First Impression Specialist. Please give these new team members a warm welcome! During the first 90 days they will be learning the Chancy way, so your training and assistance is vital.
PIONEER – RETURN TO STOCK
The 12 day return report is run daily. This report needs to be performed looking at individual returns, NOT batch returns, and the process needs to be owned by a pharmacy tech, not a first impression specialist. Please verify that the correct report is run daily.
EMPLOYEE PAGE
The Chancy Drugs website has a new employee page that is full of helpful information for our employees. To make it easier for your team to review this page daily, the employee page will soon become the homepage for the web browser at each workstation and computer in our company. Please develop the habit of reviewing this page every morning.
MEDICAID REQUIREMENTS FOR CII
Effective September 21, 2020, the use of the Quantity Prescribed (460-ET) field is required on all point-of-sale Controlled Substance II (C-II) prescription transactions. Please refer to your email for more detailed information in a document that was emailed out on September 17.
LTC SIGNATURES
Pioneer has given us quite a few new options, but LTC still needs you to send tickets with the patient’s signature. We are in the process of merging patients now. Please remember to CALL LTC if you have put a script on hold for LTC. It will be transferred through Pioneer.
DAYS SUPPLY FOR INSULIN
Henry and Kaitlin found a way in Pioneer to put real day’s supply of insulin that was given to the patient and will bill correctly to the insurance company. This will help us keep Days Supply correct for insurance audits. This process will be written up with easy steps to follow and will be posted in the Proven Processes and Resources section of the new employee page on ChancyDrugs.com.
