ADEL, GA; March 10, 2020--A crowd of supporters joined the Chancy family and their staff at the Adel-Cook County Chamber of Commerce’s ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday, March 10, for the new Chancy Drugs store at 307 N. Hutchinson Ave., Adel.
The late Hubert Chancy and Sue Chancy first established the family-owned, independent business in 1966. The company is now owned by Hugh and Bert Chancy, and has grown to six pharmacies located in Adel, Hahira (two), Moultrie, Valdosta, and Lake Park.
“We are very grateful for the support we have received from these communities,” said Hugh Chancy, owner of Chancy Drugs.
Chancy Drugs has been offering pharmacy services in the Adel market for more than 20 years.
“We’re very proud of our team here,” said Chancy, also noting that the business employs eight staff members in Adel.
Chancy Drugs offers a wide variety of products and services - from individually compounded bio-identical hormones to keep your body in balance, to health education programs, and pharmaceutical-grade CBD products, as well as medication therapy management services, a variety of tests and immunizations, compliance packaging, and more.
Hugh Chancy noted in particular ReadyMed: Medication Synchronization, multi-dose packaging that bundles your medications together by date and time, and ReadyMed: Pill Packaging. ReadyMed allows patients to avoid medication non-adherence and the pharmacists can help you better manage your medications.
"An estimated 50 percent or more of medications for chronic conditions, such as high cholesterol and diabetes, are not taken as prescribed," said Chancy. "Our ReadyMed program is designed to ensure our patients are taking the right medication the right way, and at the right time."
