NEWS YOU NEED TO KNOW Conference Call Notes 1.14.21

Pharmacist / Manager Conference Call
January 14, 2021 – 8:30 am

**PLEASE SHARE THESE IMPORTANT NOTES WITH YOUR TEAM!
Take a few minutes and Huddle with your team over these notes.

PLUS ONE MOMENTS
MOULTRIE – Jessica:  An older gentleman recently moved to the area and his daughter was concerned that he would not take his medication correctly.  We transferred all his medications and got them synced up.  They will be sent to LTC for his next fill.  The daughter was very happy with us.

VALDOSTA – Gus:  Gus received a call from a gentleman whose wife was having side effects from the progesterone she recently received from us. The information was shared with Chris who spoke with the patient. The patient had just transferred her prescription to us from another compound pharmacy, and Chris determined our quality of compound is much higher than what she had been receiving in the past. So after some adjustments to her SIG she was feeling much better.  The husband called Gus to thank him.

CHANCY DRUGS APP CONTEST
We are extending our deadline through the end of the first quarter. We have over 300 patients who are currently using the app and they love it.  It cuts down on calls and people coming into the store.  This is a great option for our patients, and it's likely folks would not expect an independent pharmacy to have app like RX Local. So please let your pateints know we have the same technology as the larger pharmacies, and encourage your staff to talk with the patients about downloading our app.

COVID IMMUNIZATIONS
Immunizations from the state are arriving , and a plan is being put in place as to how to dispense these vaccines.  We have already given to Assisted Living facilities and will be vaccinating a few patients today.  Make sure you are recording all patients who have requested a COVID vaccine. We will keep you update on the process.

COMPOUNDING
Shout out to the Compound Lab who have created a less expensive compound for Ivermectin.  This is a huge benefit for our patients that are being treated for Covid.

COVID PROTOCOL
A protocol will be sent to you which explains how to prevent getting COVID.  It also explains what to do if you have COVID. This is an great educational tool to educate you patients and your team.

READY MED
We have been working this week in getting a plan together to expand our Ready Med program.  Please be looking for information soon.

WHEN COVID VACCINES COME TO YOUR LOCATION
Put in Freezer immediately.  Call Patrick with number of shots you received.  Send shipping boxes back using the enclosed return label.  Shots come with a “kit” that includes needles and supplies.
