MEDICARE PART D OPEN ENROLLMENT

Every year, patients like with a Medicare health or prescription drug plan have the opportunity to make changes to their plan during the Medicare Annual Open Enrollment Period that takes place October 15th through December 7th.

Medicare Part D plans can vary year-to-year, generally in the form of rising premiums and changes to prescription coverage. That’s why it’s very important patients review their current plan each year to ensure it's still the best option.

There are many options and it can be difficult for patients to pick a plan that best fits their individual needs.

We need to reassure patients that our Chancy Drugs team is here to help!

WHAT WE'RE DOING TO HELP

At zero cost to patients, during the Annual Open Enrollment Period our team of Medicare specialists will do a personal review of their current Medicare Part D plan to ensure it’s still the best option.

Our top priority is to take the stress out of the Annual Enrollment process for our patients. 

WHAT TO DO IF A PATIENT ASKS YOU FOR HELP

When you identify a patient that needs assistance with Medicare Part D Open Enrollment, follow these steps:

  • Complete the Medicare Part D Pink Slip and send it to Carin at the Management Office.
  • Tell the patient that someone from our Medicare Part D team will call them within 48 hours. 
  • Give the patient Renee Davis' business card and let them know Renee or someone from our Medicare Part D team will be calling them within 48 hours.
  • If you have questions, or your patient has questions, call Renee or one of our Medicare Part D specialists at 229-794-3525 or email medd@chancydrugs.com. 

HOW WE'RE TELLING OUR PATIENTS

  • Med D bag stuffers Every bag that leaves the pharmacy through December 7th should have a Med D bag stuffer stapled to the bag. 
  • Renee Davis' business cards When you have a conversation with a patient about Med D, give them Renee's card so they know who will be calling them. 
  • Social Media We're posting regularly about Med D on our social media. Please be sure to share our posts to your personal page, to help spread the word. 
  • Prescribe Wellness phone calls An identified group of patients will receive automated messages from our stores on October 28, October 29, and November 2. If patients call the store asking about the phone call they received, please talk with them about Med D, and complete the pink slip process so we can help them.
